I've been a bit slow in implementing CAUPDATE and since it's all "Automagic" now I've gotten brave. So, I downloaded the doc file from 9/11/2000 to enlighten myself. A propitious date!
The CAW host is running from Q:\COSW.EXE and there is a Q:\CAFiles directory. I created the "UPDATES" alias with the Q:\CAFiles path and put CAUpd334.exe there.
When the CA remote starts it displays ...
"Couldn't get information on file (3):$(Comet)\caupd.exe"
If I run CAUPDATE manually, after requesting the version it displays ...
"Couldn't get information on file (2):$(UPDATES)\caupd.exe"
On the workstation, COSW and COSP are in C:\Comet_Anywhere. COSW.INI is in c:\Windows.
