Stand alone Comet Serve

To implement CometServe on my laptop, I changed all my "L" drives to "S" and changed from C:\Comet to \\ssasd34\comet. ssasd34 is my laptop and I shared the comet directory with Full Control. Works fine as long as I'm connected to my Win2003 network. When I disconnect, the share cannot be accessed even when I log in as the local administrator.

Is there a better way or some Permission/Security item I've missed.
