I too have a pdfFactory issue. Customer had old DOS logic and would get an occassional error that I couldn't interpret.
I converted over to CopyFile and had the CopyFile create a log file of the error. Which looks like ...
Local Copy error
Func: 22
File: 183
From: \\Server\User\My Documents\PDF files\AutoSave\MPL3 (T01)[20110928-1029082].pdf
To: \\Server\COMETARC\FY2012\IN\1049614.PDF
A 22/183 is "destination file already exists". I have the overwrite flag (2048) set so why the error. This is a XP PC.
The path's are perfect. The number of invoices being processed to PDF varies from several to 400 or so. Batch size doesn't seem to make a difference.
The problem seems to have gotten a bit worse since the server was upgraded to Win2008.
When the users pdfFactory was originally installed My Documemts was on C:. Post server upgrade, it's being redirected to the user's server share.
Speculations.
1) Is a server to server copy a bit too slow?
2) Windows automatically syncs My Documents so the user can work offline.
3) pdfFactory has an Auto Cleanup when the user exceeds a certain number of files.
Would any or all of the speculations be be fixed or helped by moving "PDF files\AutoSave" back to C:?
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
