just had a thought about something that might help in IMAGE file and program conversions
the only place I really need to be able to specify INQUIREIMAGE and have it mean anything is in the one program that converts an IMAGE file.
how about a switch in the compiler that says "PROCESS.IMAGE"
1) for the conversion program, and only there, it's set to TRUE
2) everywhere else, it's set to NUL (or FALSE) (default)
that way, I wouldn't have had to change any lines of source code, but re-compile only... INQUIREIMAGE would be the same as INQUIRE just about everywhere
would have been a time saver.... and, as I have to change programs in the future, I can change INQUIREIMAGE to IMAGE at my leisure.
