I've got an INPUT SPL$ of the 3-character name of the printer... followed by an OPEN (LP) SPL$.... if I put "SPL" all's OK.... if I put "SQL" (erroneous)... I get the fault and it crashes. The same thing under MS 2003's just traps the fault and takes the EXCP branch, where it pops up a MSGBOX.
Got an Idea.... now that the SPL archiving problem from 464/465? was fixed.... I'm gonna go to the latest version (466) that you sent me the email about and download all the RELs UTLs etc. etc.... then I'll try it all again to see if this fixes it.
