You are correct. Everything is automatic. When the remotes run Comet, they get the messages asking if they want the update. They answer yes. The comet window says "Verifying instlation file..." at the bottom of the screen. A window pops up. The title bar says "File Transfer in Progress". The box says "866 K Bytes Copied". The two progress bars above and below this message dont show anything. This window just sits there indefinitely. The only button that shows is "Cancel", however clicking it has no effect. Clicking the X to close the dialog box also has no effect. Going to the actual comet session and clicking X on that window prompts to close the session, whish is the only way to get past the hang. Looking at the partition, its running CAUPDATE (dated 5/14/04). Last function is "unformatted print". Attempting to terminate the partition thats running CAUPDATE from another partition on the node has no effect -- it still shows running CAUPDATE. I verififed that our CMONITOR is the latest version as well.
