One reason the Key Position would show up as -1 is if the QDIR entry indicates the file type as a legacy keyed file instead of an extended keyed file. In the main CometExplorer display does it show "Keyed file" or "ExtKeyed file" for the Type? Another reason is that the info which is contained in the header of the I00 is incorrect. Also, what does it say if you use the old FILENT utility (QTILITY menu)?
