I am trying to get my comet.ini file in shape to move to Comet 2018.
I am running Windows Server 2003. In couple weeks will be moving to Windows Server 2019.
Should I be using "S" type directories or "C" type directories.
ie:
[DIRECTORIES]
01 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\COMET\REL\;
02 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\COMET\UTL\;
03 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DPAC\PAS\;
04 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DESF\DPAC\DOJ\;
05 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DPAC\UTR\;
06 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DESF\DPAC\DSK\;
07 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\PGI\D90\;
08 = N ,N:\PrintGraphics\PGO\;
09 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\Reports-Folder\DR-Reports\;
10 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DPAC\GPO\;
11 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DPAC\DAL\;
12 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DPAC\EOD\;
13 = N ,N:\PrintGraphics\C90\;
14 = N ,S:\DPAC\AUSDATA\;
15 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\DPAC\RPT\;
16 = C ,\\SBSGP\DATA\WEBFILES\;
Server = N01,SC; File System and Security
The "C" folders are local. The "N" folders are on remote servers.
I am currently running
Windows Server 2003
Windows 7 workstations
Comet Database Server 32 - 5.08
Security Server 32 - 5.08
I will be running in a couple weeks
Windows Server 2019
Cometserverproducts1802
Comet2018install519
Should I be able to install using my current comet.ini file on Windows Server 2003 the latest Cometserverproducts and Comet2018install?
My current Comet.ini file is attached.
Thanks.
