I think there's something going on here beyond the scope of ultra edit. This problem along with the issues with Comet Explorer make it seem like there's some kind of problem with folder access or the file system maybe?

Do you see anything in the log files (cfam or comet) that might point to something going wrong when you're attempting the compile or Comet Explorer functions?

Any other abnormal behavior, or is everything else working as expected?

Did anything change on your system recently?
