I wish I could confirm this and could experiment but there are too many variables and I don't have the test beds.
It appears that on older versions of Comet - 2004 and earlier -- running with S type or L directories a program could trap the Qdir entry with no file. I do know that on 2005 with C type directories a Create fails with an exception that can not be trapped.
If my information is correct and it worked before and does not work now we have a problem. When we upgrade folks things that worked before are going to crash around us.
Can some one please, please test this and report back. Inquiring minds need to know!
