Comet/Windows Clipboard

We have now found the latest update to File Maker Pro Version 7 has introduced an odd bug.

When we copy text (no screen nmunonics) from Comet and paste into FMP7 we get all of the clipboard overhead pasted into the field (mostly @00). We only see this happen when pasting from Comet. FMP7 is unicode based, the clipboard has OEM TEXT as the type, do you have any ideas what may be going on here? We are really at a loss.
