Since CAW has VPN and security built in, there's no particular advantage to routing CAW over the VPN (IMHO).

Or, the branch can have it's own IP scheme 10.0.x.x and the VPN appliances will route traffic appropriately. Cuts down on unnecessary overhead traffic on the VPN, while things like Internet access bypass the VPN. Why route those through the VPN and then back out HQ's connection to the Internet, unless you want to impose restrictive Internet policies (Active Directory or whatever).

What can be a VPN advantage is that the HQ network can now "see" network devices, especially print server printers, at the branch, and can now print directly to those printers. Avoids printing to a spooler and having a branch user despool print jobs, IP Printing setup and routing, emailing PDF files to the branch, or any other scheme I've failed with and blotted out of my memory :)
