We had a situation today where there was no data portion of a keyed file on a "C" networked directory (Win 2003 Server). Somehow there was a create or an erase that failed.
When the system attempted to do an open it returned an Excp 00. I tested this by creating a blank keyed file, erased in DOS the data portion (leaving the I00) and attempt to open the file in Maint. You get an Excp 00.
1. Is this the correct error to report?
2. Have we seen this anywhere else where the data portion of the file was not created or the I00 was not erased?
Note: When I tested this on a local "C" type directory I get a different result. The system creates a 0 byte data file when you do an open. The local workstation is not running a server install.
