Thanks MArc, that half fixes it. The icons are in the Control PAnel and they are set to show in system tray, and when I look at that setting, then they appear in the system tray, but not before.
I turned my Pc off and on and they didn't come up but as soon as I checked that it hadn't lost the settings they appeared. Atleast I can get them if I want them
