Hi Jeff. We're working on Grant's problem but yours is different. He is experiencing general problems connecting to CfamNetServe (type 'C' directories) where your problem seems to be with the security server - not that I have an explaination for that, either.
I'm no expert on this, but you might check to see if there is a firewall that is starting after the security server (and doesn't get a chance to block the port???) is up and running. I'm guessing that maybe once the port closes, the firewall won't let you get it again.
Forgive my ignorance on this subject, but I have no other explaination. I've not seen or heard of this behavior before.
