We've been experiencing the same problem for several months here as well. I had in initially thought it was a SMB/RPC timeout closing the link to the application files (as opposed to the database) but packet traces confirm that it is indeed the database causing the problem. Is there a way to configure a timeout on database connections to keep them from being closed prematurly?
BTW: This is Comet 2006, version 6.05 running on a fully patched Win2K3 server, IBM, Xeon 2.8GHz, 2GB RAM.
