Is this customer a subscriber? If not, we expect they are no longer developing any new software on their system. If that is the case, I would ask "What changed to make this happen?".

Error 75 is an internal error. At the end of every statement, Comet checks itself to make sure that any resources (FD's, Semaphores, etc) are free for other users to allocate. The user addresses on the error report would tell you which statement in your program caused the problem.

Comet releases are sequenced using the minor version as an indicator as to what bugs and features were implemented. This sequencing continues from version to version. Feel free to look at all release announcements from version 337 to the current version to see if error 75 was mentioned.

Signature's policy is to support Comet major versions one version back from the currently official version. Comet2007 just became official, so we support Comet 2006 and Comet 2007. Of course, we try to do our best in every case to try to help our customers, but subscribers come first.

You ask, "What do I tell the customer?". I say, tell them to subscribe and upgrade. I bet this problem was fixed long ago.
