No, there are not 14 records. It it just the way ultraedit displays. Excel does not do any better job of breaking of the record than ultraedit. And yes, there is a definition to aid in parsing, however, if you do a read and the length of the record is incorrect, it will read the 1st 13 records, but blow up on the last record based on an "unexpected eof" error.
