OK, all p.c.'s were supposed to haved fixed IP addresses, two didn't have, fixed them. Can now ping to all but one PC, although it is working fine. The one PC had Microsft One Care installed as a test, removed it and I can now ping all pc's, all pc's come up fine in tcpnetview. This last machine did want to force an election at some stage recently according to the system log. One of the other two machines is the least used in the building and could well only be used when it was really busy, ie when all the phone lines were in use.
Will not reset the server in the morning and see how we go.
