A new issue has cropped up since the upgrade to 7.05. In one instance the Client machine froze during a record extract. We rebooted the machine but the extracted record remained extracted. No one on the system could access the record even though the first Client was off the system. The only way we could free up the record was to reboot the file server. More recently we have a temporary file acting the same way. The client freezes on the file. After the client reboots, the file remains locked regardless of whether or not the client is in Comet. We can all read the data in the file but it cannot be erased and recreated. I assume willl will free it up after we reboot the File Server. Is there a utility that will free up records or files after a client exits Comet??
