GET CHAR??
I'm dealing with an XML file and I think my first step will be to parse the mess into name-value blocks. And I'm of a mind to do that by reading the input file one byte at a time. I don't know how Comet is going to reaction to repetitive one-byte reads (inputs?); we shall see.
Would performance be better if Comet "knew" what I wanted to do? Would the system run better if there was a GET CHAR operation?
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
