Steve, your right. But I'm considering another path. Since the world is going browser, I feel learning the capabilities of browsers is important. Even before considering an eComet path. The browser world is ever changing and we don't want to paint ourselves into a corner. Web 2.0 is coming. What?? The path I'm considering is CTMAINT for browsers. I'm researching using FireFox 3. I'm looking at modifying FireFox's Menu Tool Bar, Bookmark Tool Bar, Navigation Tool Bar and/or Status Tool Bar. FireFox itself has a built in utility to mimic CTMAINT. Click on FireFox's TOOL tab, click OPTIONS, click APPLICATIONS. You'll see Content Type and Action. How do we add COMET Content Type and Action? Why can't the ACTION be Comet with all of it's capabilities? My initial test was to call NOTEPAD and all it wanted to do was to save the file notepade.exe. ??????? Since we have to live with browsers, I'd like to hang a few Comet pictures!!
