As more end-users are asking for programs to deliver their forms and reports via email this problem has come up and I need some input. The problem is that infrequently, 1 in a hundred, maybe even 1 in a thousand pdf documents that are generated to a PDF Email printer are bad files. My large Canadian customer is now generating almost all of their forms to the PDF Email printer and I just received a report yesterday. This document was generated to a PDF Email printer that is also configured as a PDF Doc Manager archive. The two files are attached - 096208-00... is from Doc Manager and is a good pdf document. WWERP... is the email attachment file and is a bad pdf document. I compared the files in UE and found that the bad file was truncated at the end. If I "cut" the bad file at the "trailer" and paste in the differences WWERP... becomes a good pdf file. My question is this - is this a pdfFactory issue or an Email Printer issue? I've attached the same files and sent them on to FinePrint. Is there any possibility that the pdf file is incomplete when being attached? Thanks in advance.
