My understanding is that Comet's profile name can be somewhere around 20 characters.
With the change over to Windoze 7, I use a Group Policy to deploy Comet shortcuts using the actual computer name as profile. That works great!!
My problem is that some machine have a name up to 12 characters and it looks like SYSGEN only uses the first 8 characters. If I manually change the dot-cfg file name then I can use a profile name of 12 characters.
Why does SYSGEN cut the name short ? Can it be fixed (sooner than later)?
Tested using Comet32 2013.478 on Windows 7 x64 Pro.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
