Robert,
I'm helping one of Herb's customers with an upgrade from NetWare 3.12 to NetWare 6.5 and they are having a problem with posting. It blows up with a DOS error message.

The clients are mainly Windows 2000 Pro with NetWare client 4.90 (from the NetWare 6.5 CD), 1 PC running Windows ME with NetWare client 3.x (from the NetWare 6.5 CD) and 1 PC running Windows 98 with NetWare client 3.x (from the NetWare 6.5 CD). One of the Windows 2000 PCs is using Comet 2004 .337/04.05 while everyone else is using Comet 98 .293/02.01. I've created a group and granted all rights to the directory APPS which is at the root of the drive. Inside APPS is the DPAC directory which contains all of the Comet program files and data. I've flagged all files SHarable in all directories. In frustatraion, because this doesn't work in posting, I've made all user login names equivalent to Admin and it still does not work. Each user has their own login name. I've noticed that when they post, it creates a brand new file which is NOT sharable by default because you can not flag a directory as sharable anymore. It is then owned by a single user. A week ago it was the case that only the user that created the new file could post. It has now gotten to where none of the users can post.

Have you had any trouble with posting while running Comet on NetWare 6.5? What version of Comet are you running? What version of the NetWare client are running?

Thank you for your help.
Mike Osborne
