Genia called me regarding my queries about the serial gateway and said to e-mail you with the details.
The device is a Unique Micro Design Model 316, serial powered (RS232) cash drawer trigger module.
I need to be able to send a command string of 'UUUU' to the serial port to trigger the cash drawer.
Regarding Woodmans, we are getting an error on the CITRIX server as follows: "NTVDM encountered a hard error". This requires an unload and reload of Comet on the CITRIX server and all the CAW clients kick back in at the same point in all their programmes.
As NTVDM is a 16 bit dll, could DOS calls or something similar in my
application programmes be causing the problem?
I haven't been able to get any precise info as to what is running when the error occurs but I will be chasing this up.
The printers seem to have settled down once all CITRIX client printers were removed in Sarina and replaced with newtork printers.
