All these things sound interesting. Right now our goal is simply to avoid the controversy over the .d00s. If going back to a #FILES format gets more users to be able to use the Reporter on files with record sizes up to 8000 we think it would be a good thing. In doing so we'll keep in mind that we intend to add multi-keyed awareness later. A dialog-based Reporter front-end would be a desirable but separate effort. Same for any syntactic changes to allow for eliminating amibiguity caused by using the same field name for multiple files. Trust me, you wouldn't want to wait for all those things to be done before we made the first release!
