Don't think I care about faxing HTML. TXT and PDF - Yes.

Server/client is the way to go. Direct connection between the workstation and fax. A fax job is passed to the Fax Server which handles all the logging and notifications. So, like the Adobe/pdfFactory situation. Should we choose a commercial Fax Server package?

The Small Business Server Fax that I use requires a FaxClient be installed on the workstation. Simple for XP because XP already has the same faxing software. Does RightFax and the others require a client install?

As for existing faxing, my IB FAXMAN program worked fine but it required a dedicated workstation that sat waiting for a user workstation to post an entry into the #FAX control file. When something new came in, it would communicate with FaxManJr and wait for the fax to succeed or fail. It logged the sucesses but didn't notify the user (customer choice). Waited 10 minutes on the failures and tried up to 10 times before closing the fax as failed.
