Need to read and process a record that appears to be generated in an EDI application. When I open the file in ultraedit, I see 14 lines of 4096 characters plus an additional partial line. When I look at this file in binary mode, there appears to be no character that would cause the line to break, so I am assuming that ultraedit is breaking up the file in 4096 chunks. If I call the file a sequential file, I get good records for the 1st 14 lines, but blows up with an unexpected eof error. I'm looking for suggestions that would allow me to read this file in comet so that I can parse out the individual fields.
