Comet time-out

We have a few customers who operate Comet over a Wireless LAN/WAN, some as many as 10 miles apart. The problem arises when they lose connectivity for even a second. Comet will basically die when that happens. We need a way to have the Comet OS offer a global retry option and a place to set a timeout interval. Basically, if connectivity is lost between the comet server and workstations and the workstation attempts any request from the server and fails to find the server a dialog box should popup explaining the problem and have a 'Retry' button and a 'Cancel' button. The cancel button would simply kill cosw/cosc/cfam and all comet executables.
