I just ran a test from my test machine running comet (windows xp) to my development machine running the servers (win xp also). I ran test4 and while it was running, I physically disconnected the network cable from the back of the workstation. When the cable was disconnected, the server log stopped ( I was logging everything). When I reconnected the cable, after a pause of maybe 5 - 10 seconds, everything started again.
You say that you get an error if the server disconnects for even a second. I did not see that.
I am also not running wireless. Maybe that has something to do with it. If what you say is true, it is what we have been looking for in other accounts that seem very sensitive to network connection errors.
Can you be more specific as to what you did to cause the problem and how it happened? Could you try to reproduce my test?
