I used your colors and modified the TabDlg program in DLG to set those colors on the customer number edit control. It worked fine. I got a bright green box with red text. Wild! Anyway, the code to do this in the InitDialogComplete sub. This of course happens after the EventSub has been set and the dialog has loaded. From the snippet of code you sent perhaps you're doing this too early?
