Where is the source to the QSPOOL ARCHIVE function

Apropos the issues raised in the support posting below, it seems that I will have to do something to retain the information such as the (SPOOL MESSAGE=) information from all existing SPOOL files, when Archiving it to the new PDF/TXT archives.

my two pronged approach would be:

1) create an indexed file with the Spool ID as a key and the following information:
Spool ID
Job
Terminal
User
Program
(SPOOL MESSAGE=)
whatever else I can retrieve

I believe that these data elements are located both:
in the Index in my SPOOL directory (SPL)
in the individual files in the SPOOL directory

then, I can change the ARCHIVE function to merge this information into the index in the PDF or TXT Archive at the time of generation, which I have found out can be easily enhanced with multiple keys (I've found a DocMgrMK.ibs program).

The controller and the Accounting Staff navigate through the current SPOOL archives by making extensive use of the (SPOOL MESSAGE=) information... I think they'd be lost without it.

Thanx

Bob "A"
