So we are actually on day 3 of being in spain, 1 was flying, 2 was getting adjusted, and now 3. We saw Jeni today, went up to her school and had lunch. Brought her down to the apartment where we are staying, then went on the metro to the Il Corte Ingles, which is the biggest department store ever. They have everything. In two different buildiing in the place where we went, in football sized stadiums in other places. We went to the supermercado - aye - where they had every kind of sausage and meat and cheese, and prepared things, and fois gras, ye gads it was amazing for those of us who live in 3rd world countries!!! After we stopped stepping over our tongues, we bought some nice salad makings and bread and cheese and all kinds of dry-cured meats and some diet pepsi with lime (hallelua) and red and white wine. Jeni went back to her place to work out and had to study for a test tomorrow so we stayed in and grazed on all the goodies. Even leftovers from the Argentinean meal last night. Needless to say we didn't go hungry.
Tomorrow we will do some touring, meet up with Jenie in the afternoon, and then meet the senora of the house where Jeni is staying. Then Wednesday we will meet up with some of Jeni's buddies and do an early dinner before her night class in marketing.
We have wi-fi internet access in the apartment, tho it is spotty at times, but it keeps us connected to what's going on at SSI.
Enough for now, looking forward to tomorrow.
