After reviewing the many comments we received regarding rehandling of the .d00 files we thought, "Hey, maybe they just want #FILES!". So, whaddaya think? Suppose we make a new #FILES (we'll call it #CFILES) that works exactly like the old one but supports all the new file system features. Isn't that what you all really want?
Of course we would provide a utility to build #CFILES from either existing .d00 files or an old #FILES.
