DOS function calls/pseudo calls

Probably a dumb question...
But I cannot remember and a quick hunt did not reveal an answer.

Do the DOS function calls/pseudo calls work on a CA client?
DOSFC
DOSRW
etc

This is to create and write a file in the CATEMP directory on the CA Client.
I am using GetDirAlias and it is returning the CATEMP on the CA client, not the CAHOST.

Program is crashing with an Error 91 Invalid/Unsupported System Call.

If this is the case and I want the file on the CA Client, then I would create it within Comet using the CREATE statement and then use the Copyfile mnemonic to copy it to the Local CA Client File system?
